AIA Dallas to screen ‘lost’ 1967 film about the future of the city, ‘The Walls Are Rising’

From Robert Wilonsky of the Dallas Morning News:
Just a few weeks ago, Flashback Dallas-ite Paula Bosse stumbled across half-century-old newspaper clippings touting a film titled The Walls Are Rising, a heretofore forgotten production of the Greater Dallas Planning Council and the Dallas chapter of the American Institute of Architects. The movie itself, released in 1967, had disappeared. All Paula had to work with were stories describing the contents and intentions of a product described in others’ ancient, dry accounts. Her sum-up: “sounds a bit like a sophisticated A/V presentation.”
It will be screened January 19.
